For nearly a decade, I’ve walked alongside women healing from the unimaginable—survivors of human trafficking, each reclaiming her voice, her worth, and her purpose. As the founder of Covered Colorado, I opened two safe houses and a Care & Education Center where 141 survivors have found refuge, counseling, community, and a path forward.

In those sacred spaces, I witnessed something beautiful: healing happens when chaos is replaced with calm, when disconnection is met with belonging, and when systems support—not stifle—someone’s next step.

That work changed me. It showed me that clarity isn’t just something survivors need—it’s something we all need.
